We reward answers, not questions
Be different. Stop and ask questions. Even things that seem simple and trivial. Another note related to school - You’ll notice everyone is in a rush for answers. I believe this is a biproduct of the education system - We’re awarded for answers, not for questions. Whoever raises their hand first gets a gold star. Even gets a note - ‘Little Camden participated and was the first to volunteer, I love this.’ And who gets punished? ‘Teacher, I’m unclear of the instructions.’ ‘Teacher, why do we do this?’ It’s because time is limited and teachers are rushing through. Over time we’re attuning our mind to give answers really fast.
