Not sure who said it, but Hurt people hurt people. Live with this in mind. Those trying to hurt you are hurt. They simply have a different perspective of life and what’s out there than you. Combat hurt with empathy, understanding and conversation. Don’t try to persuade, just seek to understand the perspective that makes someone this way.
